Anal glands are not usually a common problem for cats. Usually cat owners don't even know what anal glands are unless there is a problem with them. You might see some scooting or you might only notice a horrible “odor of infection” around the hind end of your cat. There might be blood coming out of your cat's anus area. This area will be very tender when an anal gland problem occurs. When you see or more likely smell this problem, there is no other reason more than to just give us a call to schedule an appointment for our doctors to address this problem. Our doctors are experienced with treatment for anal gland impaction, anal gland infection and cancer of the glands. Sometimes a diet change is recommended to reduce further issues with the anal glands. All anal gland problems can be addressed and discussed with you at your veterinary visit at Broadway Vet. We are open 7 days a week until 7pm. We are a cat friendly veterinary hospital with separate cat and dog entrances and separate rooms. We are here for your cat's anal gland problems whenever you need us.
